The Warm Audio WA-87 R2 is a large-diaphragm condenser mic inspired by a classic 1960s studio mic, featuring a versatile K87-style capsule for smooth, detailed sound, a heavy nickel-plated brass body, and three polar patterns (Cardioid, Omni, Fig-8) for various sources like vocals, guitars, and drums, plus a pad and 80Hz high-pass filter for handling loud sounds and rumble, offering upgraded components like Fairchild transistors and a Cinemag transformer for improved performance over the original.
