The Strymon Fairfax is a 100% analog “Series A” pedal that acts as a miniature Class A amplifier output stage rather than a traditional distortion pedal. It recreates the sound of 1960s tube-driven devices, utilizing JFETs to emulate tube stages and a custom transformer circuit for dynamic, sagging, and saturated, amp-like tones.
