The Stone Deaf FX PDF-1 is a hand-wired, UK-made parametric distortion filter inspired by the 1970s Maestro MPF-1. It functions as a versatile, medium-gain overdrive/distortion or a clean boost with a 20dB parametric EQ, famously used by Josh Homme for stoner rock, “cocked-wah” tones, and overall frequency shaping.
