The NUX NDS-2 Brownie Distortion is a guitar pedal that emulates the classic British “dirt” tones of the 1970s, using a hybrid circuit design to achieve natural, warm distortion. It features a BJT (Bipolar Junction Transistor) input stage that breaks up as the preamp tube distorts and an asymmetrical clipping circuit to mimic tube amplifier characteristics.
