The Doepfer A-149-1 is a Eurorack module inspired by Buchla’s Source of Uncertainty, offering two sections for generating diverse random control voltages (RCV) triggered by an external clock, featuring Quantized Random Voltages (octave/semitone steps for pitch modulation) and Stored Random Voltages (256 states with even or adjustable probability for complex textures). It provides four outputs with individual potentiometers for fine-tuning, plus random gate outputs, making it ideal for generative music and evolving patches.
