The AEA RPQ500 puts the power of the rackmount RPQ into your 500 Series lunchbox or rack. With over 80dB of gain on tap, this preamp has more than enough juice for the lowest output ribbons on the quietest sources, and the Curve Shaper EQ is perfectly tailored to ribbon mics. The 10k input impedance means you’ll never have loading issues, no matter what mic is plugged in, and switchable 48V phantom power makes it doubly useful for active ribbons and condensers. At mix time, switch the RPQ500 over to line input operation and take advantage of the EQ section to give your tracks that last little kiss they might need.
