The 1981 Inventions DRV2 is a hand-made, USA-built, surface-mount (SMT) version of the original DRV pedal, offering a quieter noise floor and the ability to run on both 9v or 18v power. It is a versatile preamp distortion pedal with a modified RAT-style circuit that delivers sounds ranging from a clean boost to a thick, high-gain distortion, controlled by the drive, volume, and cut knobs. The DRV2 is a modernized and improved version of the DRV, engineered by Electronic Audio Experiments, but it does not come with a battery clip or power supply.
