4MS Ensemble Oscillator

The 4ms Ensemble Oscillator Eurorack module employs 16 complex oscillators that can be quantized to user-defined musical scales or series of harmonics to create lush chords, evolving textures, and glitched-out effects. The Ensemble Oscillator comes pre-loaded with 30 factory-programmed scales, which can be tweaked and twisted to your heart’s content. Additionally, the Ensemble Oscillator features a learn function for quickly inputting unique scales manually or with a keyboard controller. Scales are organized into three groups: 12TET, Octave, and Free. In 12TET mode, all the notes are quantized to equal temperament and repeat over octaves. Octave mode allows you to program and a series of unquantized notes that repeat over octaves. Finally, in Free Mode, the notes are unquantized and cycle through the interval from the lowest note to the highest. The Ensemble Oscillator’s 16 oscillators output pure sine waves, which the Eurorack aficionados at Sweetwater enjoy when they’re crafting dreamy, pristine soundscapes. However, if you want to explore the Ensemble Oscillator’s gritty and grungy side, tap into its clutch of wave and phase distortion effects and frequency cross modulation.
