Maintaining the same versatile character as its predecessor that gives you tones from a pristine clean boost to amp sparkle to outright roar with a few sweet new upgrades, the ProAnalog Devices Manticore Overdrive V2 is a Swiss army dirt box capable of replacing two or three effects on your board. In addition to the treble boost/cut circuit and highly interactive volume/gain/drive controls, the second version includes a “Savage” knob which acts as a low-pass filter, giving you bass control to fatten up tone and find that perfect “always on” sound.
