Released in 2016, the Walrus Audio Julia is a chorus and vibrato pedal named after a mysterious sound emanating from the ocean not unlike the famed Bloop. Julia draws its inspiration from the dark waters of its namesake, offering deep, analog chorus and vibrato shapeable by a myriad of controls. Select LFO wave shapes or use the Julia’s Lag control, which changes the delay time on the LFO modulation. Rate and depth are familiar knobs on the Julia, while its final control, labeled “d-c-v,” is a wet/dry knob that ranges from dry to chorus to a full-on vibrato.
