The Audix D2 is one of several entries in Audix’s D series of dynamic microphones. Its hypercardioid pickup pattern and high SPL make it a go-to option for rack toms and hand percussion, but it also works well with other stage applications like horn micing. The D2 is frequently bundled with other Audix mics like the D6 in drum mic packages.
